Phrasal Verbs

- I’m going to give up drinking beer. I’m so fat that I can’t see my feet anymore! (Voy a dejar de beber cerveza. ¡Soy tan gordo que ya no puedo ver mis pies!)

- Nancy can visit us next weekend (Nancy puede visitarnos el próximo fin de semana)

- He could run a marathon when he was young (El podía correr una maratón cuando joven)

- He could jump the wall (él podría saltar el muro)

Modals Verbs of Obligation and Advice

- He doesn't have to wear a uniform to school (No tiene que llevar uniforme a la escuela)

- You should eat healthy food (Usted debe comer alimentos saludables)

- I must go to the bank before it closes

- I have to go to the bank before it closes

- We must phone Janet to tell her the meeting is cancelled

- If you have backache, you must go to the physiotherapist

Future tenses

- I will go to the beach next month (Voy a ir a la playa el próximo mes)

-  It will rain tomorrow.

- This time next week I will be sun-bathing in Bali.

- Will you be bringing your friend to the pub tonight?

-Will Jim be coming with us?

- I will have been here for six months on June 23rd.

- I will have been waiting here for three hours by six o'clock.

Tag Questions with be

- We are going to go on vacation this year, aren't we? (Vamos a ir de vacaciones este año, ¿verdad?)

- Yes we are hunny, don't worry about it (Si lo haremos cariño, no te preocupes por eso.)

- I am an important part of the team, aren't I? (Soy una parte importante del equipo, ¿o no?)

- Peter isn't my new supervisor, is he? (Pedro no es mi nuevo supervisor, ¿cierto?)

- Ted and Laurie are on vacation, aren't they? (Ted y Laurie están de vacaciones, ¿no es así?)
